The last time I was at the Black Sea, I drew sketches of my first photography website on a piece of napkin, while selling draft beer on the beach. I was looking at the sea all day long and wishing, that nobody was there, that they would wanish, together with the lurry and the chaos of a seemingly endless summer. Then fall came and suddenly everyone disappeared, so I could get a glimpse of the beach finally, without hordes of people.
It’s hauntingly beautiful. I promised myself, I would come back one day, just for this experience. One of my photographer friends invited us this fall to a small adventure of exploring Vama Veche and the area near the Bulgarian border, so I could keep my promise.
